02 - Add softened cream cheese, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract to the dry mixture. Mix until a thick, uniform dough forms.
03 - Gently fold in blueberries and lemon zest if using, being careful not to crush the berries.
04 - Using your hands or a small scoop, roll the dough into 12 evenly sized bite-sized balls.
05 - Place bites on a parchment-lined tray and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up before serving.
