Crunchy pretzels coated in smooth chocolate and decorated with colorful Valentine sprinkles.

# What You'll Need:

→ Pretzels

01 - 24 large pretzel rods

→ Chocolate Coating

02 - 7 oz semisweet or milk chocolate, chopped or chocolate chips
03 - 1 tsp coconut oil or vegetable shortening

→ Decorations

04 - 1.75 oz Valentine-themed sprinkles

# How To Make It:

01 - Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat to prevent sticking.
02 - Place chocolate and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth and fully melted.
03 - Dip each pretzel rod halfway into the melted chocolate, gently twirling to coat evenly. Allow excess chocolate to drip off.
04 - Immediately sprinkle Valentine sprinkles over the chocolate-coated portion, rotating to cover all sides while chocolate is still wet.
05 - Place dipped pretzels on the prepared baking sheet. Allow chocolate to set completely at room temperature for about 30 minutes or refrigerate for 10-15 minutes for quicker setting.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • The salty-sweet combo is actually addictive in the best way
  • They come together faster than you can order delivery
  • Everyone thinks you put way more effort in than you actually did
02 -
  • Even a tiny drop of water will seize your chocolate into a grainy mess. Keep everything dry.
  • The chocolate sets faster than you think, especially if your kitchen is cool. Have sprinkles ready before you start dipping.
  • Work in small batches. I dip about six pretzels at a time before moving on to the next group.
03 -
  • Hold the dipped pretzel over a bowl while sprinkling to catch the excess and reuse it
  • If your chocolate thickens while working, microwave it for another 10 seconds
