Probiotic Jello Snacks (Printable)

Fun and healthy fruit juice jello infused with gut-friendly probiotics. Quick to prepare and loved by all ages.

# What You'll Need:

→ Fruit Base

01 - 2 cups 100% fruit juice (apple, grape, or mixed berry; avoid juices with added sugar or artificial sweeteners)
02 - 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional, adjust to taste)

→ Thickening Agent

03 - 2 tablespoons unflavored gelatin powder (use vegetarian gelatin for vegetarian version)

→ Probiotics

04 - 2 tablespoons plain probiotic yogurt or 2 capsules probiotic powder (open and use contents only)

# How To Make It:

01 - Pour 1½ cups of the fruit juice into a medium saucepan. Sprinkle the gelatin evenly over the juice and let it bloom for 5 minutes.
02 - Gently heat the mixture on low, stirring constantly, until the gelatin dissolves completely. Do not boil the mixture.
03 - Remove from heat. Stir in the remaining ½ cup cold juice and honey or maple syrup if using. Let the mixture cool to lukewarm temperature (below 100°F/38°C).
04 - Once cooled, whisk in the probiotic yogurt or probiotic powder until fully incorporated.
05 - Pour the mixture into silicone molds or a glass baking dish. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until fully set.
06 - Unmold or slice into cubes. Keep refrigerated until serving.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • You get all the fun of jiggly snacks without the artificial colors or corn syrup
  • The probiotics support gut health while feeling like eating candy
02 -
  • Heat above 100°F destroys the beneficial bacteria in your probiotics, so patience during cooling is essential
  • Vegetarian gelatin sometimes sets softer than traditional gelatin and may need extra time in the refrigerator
03 -
  • Silicone molds release the squares cleanly without running them under warm water first
  • A light coating of coconut oil in the molds helps with removal if you are having trouble
